Unfortunately, the connection between God as divine and angels as His servants and messengers is rarely, if ever, the dominant theme of media. This fiction series, The Heavenly Host, is the first to offer an informed Biblical speculation on the role of angels as God’s warriors in the ongoing battle between good and evil.
The three books are tentatively titled, in order: The Testings of Devotion, Warfare of the Holies, and The Temptation of Satan. Each is ~250 pages long, with a projected readership of science fiction/fantasy buffs, speculative fiction fans, and those looking for an inspiring faith-based novel.
In Book One, Sophia, Senior Servant on the First Level of Heaven, and Ruth, Faras, and Miriam, her three Selected Servants, work under the direction of the archangel Gabriel and the Almighty Divine (God). They lead the Heavenly Host in a battle against the Eternally Damned (Satan), but their efforts seem to be failing. Seduced by the desire for material achievements and self gratification, both humans and angels are drifting away from the Almighty Divine, and, by default, choosing the False Way.
As leader-servant on the First Level, Sophia must learn the true meaning of humility and service to the Divine, which prepares her to guide a new spiritual warfare strategy: the Testings of Devotion. Seven human candidates are chosen to be cultivated as earthly soldiers, but, from the beginning, her efforts are thwarted. Sophia fears failure but Gabriel suspects sabotage.
With help, Sophia discovers that two Selecteds have been undermining the Testings. The bigger culprit is Miriam, whose motivation is love for a mortal man. In a showdown of power, Miriam is cast out of heaven, and the First Level restored to a state of harmony…..temporarily. BUY NOW
